  Vince was such a cool dude and I’m glad we were able to help him out. <br><br>I didn’t catch this on camera. But after I told Vince my goodbyes, he looked at my rental car and said oh you got a nail in your tire. He reached for the tire and I said “DONT PULL IT!” Right after I said that he makes a yank motion around the tire and I hear a loud “psssshhhhhhhhh” I just stood there with a blank face 😐. He turns around to reveal he’s making the “psshhhhh” noise. 😂😂😂

  I saw the thumbnail and instantly clicked. I&apos;m a mechanic/operator at an underground mine and work on equipment from this era all the time. This stuff does NOT show up on YouTube very often.<br><br>Those tamper-sealed screws are not bleeder plugs, they&apos;re screws for the plunger cover. It&apos;s a Bosch PES pump. Generally with Deutz engines I bleed up to the banjo bolts on the pump, then crank the engine over with the injector line nuts cracked. They&apos;re great engines; I&apos;ve just worked on inline 912s and 413s. All 912s are inline; 413s are inline up to 5-cylinder. 413s are available up to V12 - those things are nuts. Generally, keep the cylinder fins clean, fan blades clean, and the fan belts tight, and you&apos;ll have a happy engine. The L-shaped lever controls both preheat and the starter; pull it until the ammeter registers for preheat and then the rest of the way to start the engine. Those switches are expensive and can be problematic - replacing it with a pair of momentary toggle switches may be a good plan.<br><br>EIMCO built solid equipment and was eventually acquired by Sandvik. For that 980-series truck, Pillar Manufacturing in Michigan is a good source of parts and information. If he doesn&apos;t want to keep the truck, I probably know someone who would want it. I don&apos;t personally have a use for one that size right now - our decline is nominally 10&apos;x10&apos; but smaller in places, so it would not fit. I&apos;m not sure how or WHY Vince ended up with a 70s underground haul truck as what appears to be his first piece of yellow iron, but I&apos;m here for it!

  My dad worked for EIMCO back when they built this machine. He was a senior mechanical engineer for them and helped design it. Thanks for bringing back these memories.

  Braeden, you inspired me to buy a 92 ranger 4.0 v6 and teach myself how to start wrenching on it. So far I’ve changed almost all of the fluids, spark plugs, spark plug wires, new headlights, fuel filter, and a door actuator. Going to upgrade some suspension components next. Without your content I wouldn’t have had the willingness to give it a shot. Thanks for the videos man.
