  He changed the lives of many not just in US but around the world, I am an Indian who applies CANSLIM to the Indian markets and use Marketsmith India for my research, but he not only impacted my trading but also my life, He taught me how to have a winners mindset and always look for opportunities and be grateful for them. I remember his famous quote &quot;I&apos;ve never met a successful pessimist&quot;. Bill taught me to be optimist. Prior to reading Bill&apos;s book I was misguided in the stock market and lost money consistently but after studying and applying CANSLIM Principles I am no longer a loser trader. <br>Bill&apos;s book &quot;How to make money in stocks&quot; always sits on my desk along with his other book and other investment classics. <br>RIP Legend. You did the most to empower retail/individual traders.

  I never met Bill O&apos;Neil, but his books, newspaper, &amp; IBD team have always been inspiring to not only reach for your greatest investment potential, but also in all aspects of business &amp; life! &nbsp;Thank you &amp; Rest In Peace

  I know I am half way cross earth but wanted to share with you how grateful I am to Bill O&apos;Neil, I remember the day his book was recommend to me when I almost gave up on making money in the &nbsp;stock market. His book changed my life. I wanted to attend his seminar so bad before it was stopped, you had no idea how that made me feel, losing the opportunity to meet my one true inspirer in person. I studied his book and I remember sending an email to IBD to confirm my understanding of distribution days in the Saudi stock market and Chris Gessel was kind enough to take a look at the charts and responded with &quot;I guess investors psychology is the same everywhere&quot; and since than I was not the same trader that I am today. So thankful to Bill and IBD team. Keep doing what you are doing and know that Bill is gone but not forgotten and his legacy will continue and it will not be limited to the USA for sure

  My heart goes out to each of you. &nbsp;I met Bill at least once...maybe twice. &nbsp;Once at a seminar in Orlando probably over a decade ago, maybe more. &nbsp;Chris Gessel, I think you may have also given a talk that day too. &nbsp;I believe I also met him (maybe?) at an investment seminar on February 14th 2002 at the all-day investing seminar at the Reagan Presidential Library in Simi Valley. &nbsp;It was a Saturday, and it was just 5 months hence from 9/11 and the country was just beginning to get back to flying and travelling again. &nbsp;<br><br>Bill was indeed a marvelous teacher, and he was so so nervous anytime he had to give a talk. &nbsp;I can see him telling you, Allie, that he didn&apos;t want to be on camera, yep; for sure! &nbsp;Bill was a man who just didn&apos;t take himself overly seriously, no matter how serious he had to be regarding the markets and the work. &nbsp;I can only imagine all the thousands of little details that had to be dealt with during the time that the IBD and Daily Graphs database was being built. &nbsp;But build it he had to, because NOBODY ELSE had all those tools that would make CANSLIM into a successful methodology. &nbsp;It&apos;s hard to imagine bringing to bear the sheer ENERGY that would have been needed for those projects. &nbsp;<br><br>Chris, Justin, and Ed, I&apos;ve been reading you all, along with David-Saito Chung in The Big Picture since 1998 or so. &nbsp;I even remember that controversial interview question that got IBD ousted from Bill Clinton&apos;s press briefings! &nbsp;That was one hell of a thin-skinned administration and OMG, I can&apos;t believe that came back to me! &nbsp;I know that each of you have worked so closely with Bill for so long now that it will be super hard to even think about going on without him. &nbsp;But Jim, you&apos;re right...Bill had that belief in PEOPLE. &nbsp;I only met Bill once or twice, and I don&apos;t think I ever got the chance to introduce myself. &nbsp;I was just another guy standing within earshot when Bill said something like, &quot;I have no idea why anybody in the audience would want to hear anything from me!&quot; &nbsp;But yeah, he made a HUGE impact on me too. &nbsp;We&apos;re all going to miss Bill. &nbsp;And David Ryan...you&apos;re right, we&apos;re losing the kind of man that Bill was. &nbsp;That&apos;s why it&apos;s important for each of us to keep the faith and to keep paying it forward, as best we can.<br><br>Allie, you&apos;re amazing. &nbsp;Bill saw in you something special, both as a journalist AND as a human being. &nbsp;Without Bill O&apos;Neil, I wouldn&apos;t have been as successful as I have been in my career AND in my investing. &nbsp;I&apos;m probably nowhere near where any of you are in your own wealth-building tracks, but I&apos;m not a poor man and, God willing, Congress notwithstanding, and the creek don&apos;t rise, I&apos;ll be in better financial shape than many of my peers. &nbsp;My only regret is that I never had the chance to work for Bill! &nbsp;But I do try to pay it forward, nonetheless!<br><br>May God bless Bill&apos;s family and friends, and each of you too. &nbsp;Thank you for sharing.

  I am so sorry. If it wasn&apos;t for IBD I would never have had such a love for the stock market. The measure of a man is the legacy he leaves behind. What a legacy! You are all proof he not only chose great stocks but also associates.

  I am so sad from hearing the news. I have learned a lot from Bill’s book and IBD team.Bill&apos;s generosity of sharing his valuable lesson with others and optimistic spirit will be in my heart for ever.
