Yes, I recall this trio - Lana, Tyrone and Linda - vividly. Lana has proclaimed time and again that Tyrone Power was the real love of her life, never mind the 8 husbands she married and divorced. This fact was stated in her autobiography. Yes, there were strong rumours doing the rounds in Hollywood in the 1950's that they were going to tie the knot. But, suddenly, in the middle of their torrid romance Tyrone left for Europe to make a movie. It wasn't long before reports kept filtering in from Europe that Tyrone was seriously romancing the much younger, Linda Christian, who had some bit parts in MGM movies. The couple wasted no time in deciding suddenly to get married, and they did, much to the chagrin of Lana Turner who was left high & dry and broken-hearted. Many skeptics were of the opinion that Power found a way to get rid of Turner because he knew marriage to her would never work. Ty and Linda eventually divorced and Turner went on to marry several times more.
