To summarize: Group B is mad that Group C stole islands that they themselves stole from Group A. And thusly, the entire history of the human species has been told.

The Russians want the islands for the same reason China wants the islands in the South China Sea. The same reason we want Hawaii. It’s to secure access to the Ocean and not have a way for another nation to block them.

Hi, little history fact from a japanologist! In the 19th century a polish ethnologist called Bronisław Piotr Piłsudski got exiled to sakhalin to do 15 years of hard labor there but he used his time to conduct research on the Ainu. When he settled down at the Ainu village he fell in love with an Ainu woman, Chufsanma, officially married her and had a son and daughter. This is when he recorded the Ainu language and created a dictionary with about 10,000 Ainu words and took films. He built an elementary school in the village where he taught Russian language and mathematics to the local children. Due to WWI he had to leave his family and went to switzerland and later met a tragic ending but his contributions to science were huge! Same goes to you guys, thank you for the insight and this very valuable video!

Land no one owns, but a space people call home.
Having your home taken from you is devastating regardless.
Heart goes out to the Ainu crushed between two power houses.

Every once in a while Yes Theory comes out with a banger like this. When a story that has been begging to be told finally get it’s platform everything encompassing that story finally achieves balance and it is beautiful. When Yes Theory truly surrenders it’s plan and allows a stranger to dictate the story is when they really shine.

You should look at the border between Guyana and Venezuela. It’s been a dotted line since the 1700’s. It’s an interesting story. I really don’t think Guyana would ever give up their land but the history around it is there.
