  Supermoto is indeed niche. If you don't go off road a peaked lid with goggles is pure fashion. The supermoto scene is full of fashionistas, MX helmets sneakers and t-shirts. I agree with riding more like lean off style, even some top supermoto riders nowadays ride knee down where it counts. Thanks for your constant vids Michael!

  For the guy with the RVF 400. I had Conti Road Attack 2 tyres on my 1997 Yamaha Thunderace; it really hated turning under even slight throttle. Fitted Bridgestone S23 tyres, totally transformed the handling, grip and feel. Modern tyres really are fantastic.

  Funny thing about analog vs electronics bikes. So as my username says I ride an '01 GSX-R1000. Yesterday I got a chance to ride 2023 S1000RR with "M" package. I have an R6 throttle tube installed for 30 degree throttle on my gixxer and fully built race suspension for my weight and I installed taller clip-ons and lower pegs (I'm 49 and don't bend as well anymore). The biggest thing I've noticed is that the S1000 had a much lighter clutch pull and was quite a bit easier to flick back and forth (due to what I imagine backward rotating crank). However, I bought my bike for $2000 and it cost me another $250 to get it running. $1500 for suspension and some more odds and ends here and there. I've been riding since 1997 and I can honestly say that a.) I don't much care for throttle by wire. b.) Seat is horrible (I know why but still, not interested) c.) My K1 has a load of space under the passenger seat for "stuff" d.) I am within 30 seconds of this very fast guy on our local 20ish mile road we bomb every so often. e.) when I was half my age I had a 2000 GSX-R750 and this K1 reminds me of the good ol' times. I certainly can see me getting into way more trouble on a new bike but I am a cheap bastard and no way I would pay ten times as much for a motorbike...
