This is one of the best talks I have ever watched on purpose and finance. Please do more like this one. Fantastic guest!

Dave the chef was my favourite episode...until now.. Very thought-provoking conversation full of brilliant life advice. Chris talks a load of sense. I think one of the biggest mantras in personal finance is the 'rational v reasonable' debate (Morgan Housel). It is YOUR money after all and it makes sense to question WHY you are saving it and for what purpose. Whilst it's important that a financial decision makes sense, it doesn't always have to be optimal.

This couldn't have appeared at a better time on my suggestions. Wow!
Over the last 2 years, with your help, I've managed to open ISA accounts, i'm saving for a house deposit. I'm so greatful!

I've unfortunately created lots of anxiety around the subject , ive been obsessively running the numb trying to make the maths work and allocate every penny while trying to come up with a retirement plan...trying to estimate which of those accounts will kick in at what age. I've lost a few nights sleep, brain and thoughts racing the figures.

The anxiety of realising if I was to 'hit' goals, I'd likely have to sacrifice every bit of joy for the next 30 years.

What a relief this video is. Thank you for having this wonderful guest! Captivating to listen to!!!
I can finally get some sleep and promising myself to ask the big important questions!

Loved this podcast guys, Chris was a great guest to have on, as a new investor in stocks and stuff thanks to Damiens main channel vids, it's cool to learn about the psychological aspects of chasing wealth/financial security and not stopping yourself from actually living (which admittedly I have been doing by cutting down on going out, treating myself to things, etc). I've been full on saving for nearly 9 months now and cause I haven't spent at all, it's now hard to spend when I have the opportunity to 😂
Looking forward to your next podcast!

@36:08: "What make you happy? What brings you joy?" The honest answer is that we're Brits: we don't really do joy. I mean, what would the neighbours say?

Another great guest and loved his advice and way of thinking of what brings joy, rather than the number.
