  Your first mistake was going to a Denny's in the morning while sober, instead of the ideal time, which everyone knows is 2 AM while absolutely shitfaced after a night at the bars.

  Mushy hashbrowns is such an endemic problem that my wife would order them "cooked to death and beyond" just to maybe have a chance of them being crispy enough.

  The issue with Denny's is that each one is completely different.  It all depends on their cooks.  You could go to a Denny's & have the worst food in the universe.  Then go to another one in the same city & have the best damn food you've ever had.  All based on their cooks

Denny&apos;s apparently didn&apos;t start selling pancakes as a regular menu item until the early 1960&apos;s. Denny&apos;s was originally called Danny&apos;s Donuts and was known for selling...well donuts and coffee.
