I think I speak for all Germans; You don't have to apologize all the time. We Germans are not that sensitive.

The only thing he got wrong is Germans hating on people making videos about Germans. Look at the comment section of any video on Germany. We are THERE. We LOVE to see how other people see us - and correcting them, because we are so well informed ;)

as a german: No matter when, no matter where, I’m always early, because I can manage my own time — but I don’t want to steal anyone else’s.

The Autobahn is not a stretch of road but the whole german "highway" system all around germany. Some parts have a speed limit and some don't

In Germany restaurants, tips are voluntary to express appreciation for good service, and are usually aroud 5-10%, or rounding off the sum. .Tips are not the source of income as in the USA, but additional to their salary.

12:20 That "HALLO" doesn't need to be annoying. Once I left a supermarket and heard that HALLO, didn't react and he called me by my surname. I turned around and he had my banking card in his hand. So nice and helpful, a was so grateful <3

"Fünf Minuten vor der Zeit, ist des Deutschen Pünktlichkeit"

> "Five minutes before the time is German punctuality."

Being exactly on time is not enough; being early (by about 5 minutes) is considered truly punctual.

It's still true in business settings, or when you have an appointment somewhere.

7:40 That is not how Nazi Germany came to be, Joel. The history of that time is far more complex. Right now, you in the USA are experiencing how authoritarianism develops.

German trains have only been late since the entire system was privatized, train stations were abandoned, the network split up between local companies, etc. When I was a highschooler in the eighties, I had to take the bus and train to a few towns over. You could set your time by the arrival and departure times of the trains back then almost every time! Then it was privatized and everything went down the drain….

Hey you two, waiting at a red light as a pedestrian is so important in Germany because we have to set an example for our children. So many young kids as young as 6 are running around on our streets. You can imagine how important it is to protect these children in traffic and also to educate them.
