  in Łódź there are many rivers - but they are hidden underground. They did it during steam revolution to simplify buidling roads and factories. There were even river &apos; Łódka&apos;

  The University of Łódź offers many courses for foreigners and a Polish language school for students who want to study in Poland. Therefore, there have always been many foreign students in Łódź, even during the communist era. Many students from countries friendly to communism studied in Poland: from Cuba, Vietnam, North and Central African countries.

  Łódź po wojnie była mało zniszczona. To co w innych miastach po wojnie odbudowali, w Łodzi stało i nikt tego nie remontował przez następne 50 lat. Więc teraz po trochu remontują kamienice, ale nie są w stanie zrobić wszystkiego od razu.

  I live in Łódź. I&apos;m British and half-Polish (born in the UK). I love it here. It&apos;s not ugly at all, and it continues to go through extensive renovation. There isn&apos;t this weird &apos;Poland glorification&apos; by foreigners, and there&apos;s a great community feeling. Łódź forever!

  Cause Łódź is not a city near river. It’s a city on rivers. We have some underground ones. 18 in fact. 😂

  yoy forgot to mention the famous film academy. A bunch of famous film directors including Polanski graduated from there. It trained extremely good camera men too.
