Imo. This is one of Leo&apos;s most underrated performances given how deep the story goes and how well with just facial charges he portrays Something

This is a movie you definitely need to show Matt if he hasn’t seen it.

This is such a mind numbing masterpiece. Definitely a movie you need to watch a second time. That way you can see all the signs. Just to name a few, the reason the guards were so on edge when Andrew and Dr Sheehan got off the boat was because Andrew is their most dangerous patient. Every time Dr. Sheehan’s name was mentioned people stuttered cause he was right there in the room. The camera also briefly shifted to Mark Ruffalo whenever they talked about Sheehan. Sheehan had trouble handing over his gun cause he’s a doctor not a marshal. I could go on and on but the clues are there. The hallucinations also make a lot more sense the second time around. You can also see that Dr Cawley tried to subtly break Andrew’s illusion multiple times but none were working so his last try was the final confrontation in the lighthouse. Imo with the ending Andrew did not reset. He chose the lobotomy because he figured it was better than living with what he’s done

This is one of those movies that&apos;s almost better the 2nd time around, because all of the clues are there. &nbsp;I think this is Scorsese&apos;s most underrated movie.

Was great to rewatch with you two and see the looks and reactions of two people who’ve never seen this film. Listening to you try to work it all out logically and being shocked by the reveals was amazing. This film is a modern Scorsese classic that his biggest fans dismiss as OK because they don’t understand it’s about the psychological journey, not the big reveal at end. I compare this film tonally to Hitchcock’s Vertigo (1958). <br>Also there’s two themes running through this film. Water, representing the truth, tragedy, reality of the mind. And then there’s fire representing delusion, escape, normalcy.

Man, the soundtrack for this film really hits home. On the Nature of Daylight is an absolute masterpiece of a song that gets every emotion flowing.
