Food in boodle fight is limitless. You can add anything you want as long it is dry. If you want to have soup, it can be served in a bowl. Some have mussels, crabs, adobo, grilled liempo, grilled fish, seaweed salad grilled veggies like eggplant, okra. Or add  other fruits in various color to make it more colorful. Whatever you want to include in there is fine. It doesnt change the meaning of boodle fight and the significant of it. Thank you for embracing our culture. More power to your Youtube channel. ❤

Boodle fight started with Filipino soldiers fighting in the jungles. Part of their survival training. Since there are no plates and utensils in the jungle they would use banana leaves as plates and put all the food in the center. Go around it and start eating with their hands they eat what is in front of them. Then this spread outside the jungles and has become part of family gatherings making the bonding of families stronger just like with the Filipino soldiers.
