The most interesting part isn’t that Kent got fired—it’s that his own documentation became the evidence against him. From an operations standpoint, the real failure was governance: he ignored the lease, bypassed the property owner, proceeded without the required approvals, and then created a paper trail showing he had been warned beforehand. Once the drainage damage happened, this stopped being a workplace dispute and became a documented property and compliance issue.

If Audrey had given them money, that would have started the requests until they had completely drained her. And I understand her leaving nursing. The corporations that run them can't because they don't understand how lessening the number of people on a floor to increase THEIR pocket moey makes people not want to do the job. And Kent's firing was obvious - they looked at a man who had brought them into a potential multi-million dollar lawsuit in the making, and decided that they didn't really want to move him elsewhere, where he could screw up like that again. Ignoring the people who make sure you don't LOSE money tends to lose you a job ...

Jerk boss would have his lease revoked with cause and another company (rival) would have been solicited to lease the property. And the firing company would be sued for destruction of property. Tree law is treble damage for unauthorized removal from another’s property.
