  my mom has this rule where if i want a tattoo, piercing, etc, i have to map it out exactly where i want it, what design, colours, just making it super detailed. i put that in a notebook and wait a year. i can then come back and see if i still want it. i think that should be a common rule in every household seeing most of the girls my age.

  What’s crazy is that I have some friends who actually don’t see the issue with how she is being put out in the media. They always say “Ive always wanted to dress like that when I was her age so it’s good to see her do it.” Like guys there’s a REASON why your parents said no.<br><br>Edit: some of you guys think that I’m saying that her style is inappropriate. Dressing emo is not inappropriate. Being put into public ADULT spaces IS Inappropriate. And the end of the day she is a child FIRST. A young impressionable girl at that. I may not agree with her fashion choices (ie the corset and most definitely the piercings) but we must remember that a child’s mind is not fully developed. She’s going to want to do adult things, wear clothes that are USUALLY seen on adults, and sometimes, you have to say no. I don’t think anyone in her circle is telling her no. There are many ways to express herself. Getting many piercings at such a young age especially facial ones is a huge decision. What if she doesn’t like them when she’s older and more mature. Then what.

  you know what&apos;s funny? kids these days wanted to make themselves look older so quickly and when the time they get older, they try so hard to look young again. i mean look at a lot the celebrities these days with all the cosmetic surgeries.
