  At 16, in 1974, I was the only rock drummer in town that listened to Art Blakey. I was hooked the first time I heard Caravan. He has been in my top 4 or 5 drummers since. And this post shows how did all of that stuff.

  Art Blakey is my favourite jazz drummer. The timing, the groove, the swing, the independence, the polyrhythms. The master!
