  Several years ago I met Mr. Douglas at Bully Busick’s funeral. After visiting the casket and paying respects I approached him, introduced myself as a co worker of Bully’s son. I then told Mr. Douglas how much I had always enjoyed his work and how incredible his iconic ECW title win promo had always been in my mind. He took several minutes to discuss wrestling with me and admittedly I found myself totally “marking out” and feeling like a teenager reliving the glory days of wrestling as I was growing up. Mr. Douglas couldn’t have been nicer and was a credit to himself and his profession during that short meeting going so far as to inviting me to an upcoming show which i regrettably couldn’t make it to. Long story short he’s a wrestling legend in my mind and it was something I’ll always remember fondly.

  I kind of agree with him. I met flair once at a comicon, and to be honest, he seemed like he just didn’t want to be there and had such a difference about any fan, who actually was wanting to talk to him. It kind of was a major put off. At that same event I also met hacksaw Jim Duggan, and it was a complete opposite. My friend had a booth next to his so we converse quite a bit throughout the night and Duggan was a complete open hearted, lovely man, one of the best people you’d ever wanna meet. It was a complete contrast of what Rick was.

  These are my opinions of the wrestlers that I have met thru time:<br>Bob Backlund- amazing and generous <br>Chief Jay Strongbow- extremely quiet and very little to offer(could have been a bad night)<br>Andre the Giant- wouldn’t even sign an autograph. Didn’t want to be bothered.<br>Tony Atlas- super nice,cool and very personable <br>Bill Goldberg- Probably the best out of all of them. We talked about muscle cars for 30 minutes. A real genuine dude.

  That’s why I take EVERYTHING Ric Flair has to say with a grain of salt. HHH is Rick’s best friend? Yeah sure because HHH helped him constantly and Ric is holding out for a return to WWE in some capacity. Had HHH not been married to Steph… I highly doubt HHH would be that high up his list. His best friends are whoever can help him lately.

  I once asked Paul London to watch my match, his feedback was incredible and the very next show he requested to work with me. We had a wonderful match and I learnt so much. Some people are phenomenal. I love Tommy Dreamer but I asked him to watch my match but at least he was honest, he didn&apos;t have time.. which I respect honesty and appreciated it.

  Ric Flairs life has become a lesson for others. &nbsp;The man is maybe the most legendary wrestler of all time and yet still broke as a joke.

  Had the privilege of meeting and talking to Shane Douglas as I started my wrestling career seven years ago. Such a nice guy, down to earth, and &nbsp;a great mind for the business.

  I remember being a big fan of Flair when I bought his autobiography, but by the time I finished it I wasn’t. I’ve never read so much bitterness in one book, it’s just Flair taking the opportunity to bitch about anyone who didn’t kiss his ass.
