  The pasta cooker is a lifesaver for me as a wheelchair user. No having to carry the pan over to drain and no having to reach over the hob to cook. Mine is a slightly different design (and £5 from eBay) and works well for me. It’s allowed me to cook pasta again.

  The grater is common tableware in Europe, especially Spain, Italy and so forth. You grate the garlic, fill the plate with oil, sprinkle with salt and serve with fresh bread. It has been around for many decades. Three to four Euros each at farmers markets

  My sister bought the grater plate at our local county fair at least 20 years ago. It&apos;s still frequently used and is as useful now as it was then.

  When I was a kid in the late 90s, early 00s, the farmers market near me sold garlic grating plates, but instead of a bunch of bumps, it was ridges (like, they may have just scraped a fork across the clay when it was wet). Honestly I like the ridges design better. You didn&apos;t have to remove the garlic with a tool, and if you wanted to make a bread dip you could do it right in the grater
