Latin vs German vocabulary use is SUCH an underrated part of literary analysis in fantasy. Its so obscure that most people dont even realize that it's a thing, but its so important.

I've been writing like him for about five years already: I think about what I want to write and then I don't.

I got halfway through the chapter before I remembered you wrote it. Legit so good, although I am biased since Theon is my favorite POV

I had this on in the background and didn't catch that the chapter you were reading wasn't real, total plot-twist when i skipped to the curtain part

”How to write like George RR Martin?”

I apologize for an extremely low hanging fruit joke, but the most important step is obviously to take at least a 5 year break between each chapter you write. That is the secret forgotten ancient writing technique that allowed George to create such incredible and captivating stories and characters!

The memory technique is a pretty golden piece of writing advice, making the exposition do both character work and worldbuilding in one.
As for your writing exercise, I really enjoyed it and it reminded me of some of the older chapters in early Asoiaf.
