Does anyone feel so much in pain that they literally consider ripping their hair and eyeballs out? lol I know that sounds weird. But sometimes I’m in so much pain I just want to not be here!!!

I was having dark thoughts the other day I don’t think I’d do anything because of my mum and husband but I wanted to just not be here. and then the phone rang, I have my op next week!!!

After 20 years of hell I’m starting to feel like there is some hope.

I’m really sorry the pain was that bad that you wanted to die. I have had horrible pain flares from endo that lasted 5 weeks, but if the worst pain was a constant for that long I’m sure I would have felt the same 😢 I think doctors need to have an integral approach, I mean, being a good surgeon doesn’t make you a good doctor. How is it possible that you perform a surgery and never speak or follow up with a patient? And not even after that surgery that was this hard on the patient 🤯 That’s not a responsible approach. The entire system is insane, not allowing you to recover before your body and mind have to go through all the IVF, it just sounds heartbreaking. Doctors are not formed to take care of patients or being emphatic… I’m really sorry you had to go through that. I’m glad you were able to overcome that terrible experience, This disease is hard, even if you don’t want to have kids, you feel there’s something wrong with you no matter what. And you seem such a genuine and emphatic person ❤ hoping all the best for you and your family. Please give it a thought to manage your pain and symptoms with acupuncture, it has helped me go from an insane pain to a tolerable one 🙌 I hope you have a nice time with your baby

About 18 years ago, I had endometriosis, I believe as I had very severe abdominal pain prior to my period, so much so that I was unable to get out of bed and had to take leave off work.I was not diagnosed officially by any doctor nor went for any scan but just from the debilitating pain, I knew it was definitely endometriosis.
The severity of the pain started gradually from one week before my period to about two weeks before my period. It was not the normal pain one experiences like a stomach ache which is manageable. This was excruciating pain.
I went to a pharmacy hoping to find some medication to deal with the issue. As I was looking through the shelves at the chemist, a pharmacist approached me and asked me what I was looking for and I explained to her my situation and the pain I was in. She suggested I try this nutrient supplement which is Magnesium, B6 and Zinc.
It costs about $22 or slightly more ( in Australia) per bottle of 200 tablets. They come in a number of brands but I bought Natures Own.
The pharmacist told me to take the pills only when needed that is , only when the pain starts and stop when the pain ceases ( which in my case was just before my period started each month)
I took 2 tablets when the pain started and lo and behold, it worked like MAGIC!! The pain disappeared mysteriously. It worked in about 5 to 10 minutes after ingestion. I used this nutrient supplement for 18 years till I reached menopause when the pain stopped on its own. That was how I managed the pain all those years, which was a real life saver.
When I went to the chemist to buy a new bottle, I noticed that there would be just one or two bottles left on the shelf. So it was obviously popular amongst women.
I suggest that if you do not find it at the chemist for some reason, to approach the pharmacist and request it to be ordered.
It appears that endometrial pain is a nutrient deficiency issue and not so much due to endometrial cells growing outside the uterus because there are cases where the endometrial cells grow outside the uterus and are present all over the place and the individuals not feeling any pain at all!!
Then there are other cases where there are just little traces of the cells growing outside the uterus and the individuals experiencing excruciating pain.
Than again there are other cases
where laproscopic tests are done and no endometrial cells are found outside the uterus and yet the individuals experiencing debilitating pain.
The issue once again appears to be due to nutrient deficiency. So try Magnesium, B6 and Zinc which comes in a pill form.
Even if it does not work, it will not cause any side effects or harm as it is just a nutrient supplement.
Please spread this news/information around.
If it does not work which I doubt, than you can go to a gynaecologist for more advice and instrusive procedures like laproscopy etc.
No one seems to know about this and are suffering needlessly. It is the pharmacists and not the doctors who know about it and how to deal with the pain. This nutrient I am sure would be effective for any other pelvic pain/ cramps as well like pre menstrual syndrome.(PMS)
Also on another note, please be mindful when using Depo Provera or Depo Ralovera ( medroxyprogesterone acetate) which is a contraceptive in an injection form given every 3 months. It has been found that those who have been on it for one or more years have developed tumours in their brain. ( meningiomas) There is a class action currently going on with Shine Lawyers ( in Australia) against Pfizer, the company that manufactures the drug. Lawsuits are emerging globally after a major study in the British Medical Journal linked long term use of the drug to an increased risk of developing meningioma.
If you are in this category and residing in Australia, please contact Shine Lawyers to be part of the class action, which is free. Also, Ralovera and Provera which is the same as Depo Provera and Depo Ralovera (medroxyprogesterone acetate) a synthetic progestin, causes tumours/ fibroids to grow in the uterus.
If you are in this category and residing in Australia, you should also contact Shine Lawyers to inform them of the link between the medicine and fibroids. Ask them to start a new class action against the manufacturer Pfizer, who have failed to warn patients and doctors about the risk. You need 7 participants to start a class action according to Shine Lawyers. Please spread this news to others. Hope this information helps some or all of you. Take Care.
Also have a look at the programme Four Corners. Google " Four Corners endometriosis" and scroll down to "How a surgeon repeatedly operated on women whose tests showed little to no traces of endometriosis" This is a MUST WATCH and an eye opener.

Do you mind if I ask what your surgeons names were (so I can avoid them...)? I'm thinking about traveling to Charlotte for surgery

You poor sweet thing. You've been through medical malpractice and negligence that you'll likely never be able to prove. Totally ghosted and dismissed by these doctors. I've been through something similar. Almost died as well after a routine surgery. It took me years to get back in my body after the near death experience. By the time I was grounded enough to collect my medical records from the surgery, years had passed. Please collect all of your records from that time in the hospital. You are such a beautiful, strong woman. Please give yourself time to rest and heal. You've been through hell. And I'm so sorry from the loss of your dad. You are such a blessing and you'll be an incredible mother. Take as much rest as you can and honor all that you've been through. I think your body will start to relax after all of this- off of the IVF meds and time further away from surgery. Do what you can to process the trauma. EMDR, anything. Surgery is very serious though. Particularly the anesthesia. These doctors are only human. One mistake and things can and do go wrong. I know many people including myself who have almost died from routine surgery. I used to be a medical professional as well and I can say that sooo much goes on from behind the scenes that the patient is not aware of. Protect yourself, be weary and don't hire any future doctors that feel cold, unapproachable, etc. So many blessings to you.

I'm so glad you shared your story. I'm on day 12 after my surgery, I had endo removed from my liver, diaphragm, rectum, bladder, and ovary. This recovery was WAY worse than I expected. My first 24 hours were weird like yours but luckily I don't think they were as dire! I stayed for two nights. I'm still dealing with pain day 12 after! I feel like all the stories I hear about endo paint it as being a pretty "easy" surgery and I'm so glad you're sharing a different version. So happy you are doing okay!

Congratulations. A beautiful little miracle! Of course this does not take away the pain you continue to endure. I have a question- would you mind sharing which birth control has truly helped? ❤

Thank you for sharing your story. I am currently in the process of looking into endo after years of pain with no answers. Have you ever been checked for SIBO? I have terrible gut issues and learned that this can be common with endo.
