I appreciate these compilation videos! They allow me to put something on in the company break room and not have to come in and select a new video every 15 minutes 😂 Left it playing today and made for some great conversation amongst my peers.

Court jesters used to also be the only ones able to "criticise" the lord's/king's laws if it was a really bad one that would lead to their demise. Why? Its a joke, just enough, to not let them get offended, but enough to advice them. They were the advisors who were allowed to discuss openly with the king without king getting offended, and executing you. <br><br>They played a big big role in medieval courts. But of course it depends on the ruler how good their standard of life was. Still they amass quite a lot of power than shown here in the video
