If I could only use one pistol cartridge it would be .357 Sig.

"... missed the memo on the new physics." Classic Ayoob, gotta love it!

I really hope we could bring 357 sig up to the forefront of practical pistol calibers. It is terribly underrated amongst the top handgun calibers. 10mm is making a comeback so let's get the 357 sig popping.

I never stopped using it. 26 years using P229 and counting. Feel sorry for all those that follow trends instead of physics.

As a retired IPD officer it was nice hearing you mention the early adoption of the 357 by our department. Thanks Mas!

The .357 Sig is a fantastic performer. I read that when the Texas DPS adopted them the response was very positive.
I will aways lament the early demise of the Colt Super .38 in law enforcement. In 1929 a 130 grain jacketed bullet at 1320 FPS was quite the accomplishment but in 1935 Smith came out with the .357 Magnum revolver and eclipsed the Super .38.
Of course law enforcement was historically wedded to the revolver rather than a tricky semi-auto for the next 50 years until the ubiquitous "wonder nine".

Call me a fudd but I still have the American Handgunner magazine from 1994 introduction of the 357sig and my 1995 Sig 229 in 357sig. Absolutely my favorite pistol and caliber

To this day I’m disappointed that the 357 Sig round, with all its potential, didn’t make the cut nationally.

.40 S&W is an incredible round, but the .357 Sig is the chef's kiss. Just a shame it never caught on.

Have been carrying my G32 .357Sig for decades. It's a powerhouse pistol. Loaded with HSTs, one shot stopper.
