  As a Chinese, I thought most of the video was accurate until "You can only use the Chinese version of TikTok for 15 minutes to 1 hour, depending on your age or status". Meanwhile, my teenage nephew is scrolling on Douyin for 80% of his waking day, getting brainrot and driving my aunt crazy🤣

  If you&apos;re curious on some context - Beckley&apos;s two previous books are &quot;Unrivaled: Why America Will Remain the World&apos;s Sole Superpower&quot;, and &quot;Danger Zone: The Coming Conflict with China&quot;. Both him and his co-author are affiliated with the AEI - a self-confessed neo-conservative thinktank, the majority of whoms board members are executives of multi-billion dollar finance and investment firms. <br><br>You are still fully entitled to make up your own mind about everything in both of those books and this video - but I feel this is much needed context.

  idk if this is new, but im seeing a lot longer QA’s with these experts, and its really nice. it seems like a lot more genuine information than the shorter, 10 minute “edutainment” videos

  I liked that WIRED invited an actual Middle Eastern scholar to talk about the Middle East, who did a tremendous job at answering tough questions. I am sure there are many Chinese scholars who can speak perfect English to answer these questions with less bias.
