  did you forget that Harry successfully uses the cruciatus curse on one of the carrows in the ravenclaw common room? The only unforgivable he never uses is AK

  One problem… this whole thing ignores the fact that Harry DOES successfully use the Cruciatus Curse on Amycus Carrow after he spat in McGonagall’s face, also… he uses the Imperius Curse on Travers in the same book. Literally the only Unforgivable Curse he never used was the Killing Curse.

  My explanation for the Elder Wand:<br><br>Harry is the only person who was EVER master of the Elder Wand. He is the first and only. It’s written right in the pages. The wand did nothing to protect any of the other people who wielded it. ONLY Harry, and ONLY after he dies TO the Elder Wand in the forest.<br><br>The only one who can become Master of Death is the person who truly accepts death. This theme of power by not seeking power is throughout the books. <br>(The stone in the Mirror of Erised could only be retrieved by someone who wanted it but not to use it.)<br>(Love is the most powerful form of magic, but for it to be true love it can never be used for power.)<br><br>Harry becomes Master of Death by his actions with the Hallows.<br>Harry uses the cloak to go to his death.<br>Harry uses the stone to summon dead ones to lead him to his death.<br>Harry accepts death by way of the Elder Wand.<br>Harry uses all three Hallows to accept his death. The moment he is hit by Avada Kedavra in the forest is the moment he becomes Master of Death; the moment he becomes the FIRST master of the Elder Wand since its creation. Next time the wand is used against him it won’t hurt him or kill him. This is the first time in its history it refuses to kill. It backfires, and kills Voldemort.<br><br>Think about it: the great irony of the Wand is the only person who can become Master of it is the person who accepts death BY it. No one was ever meant to truly become Master, but Harry does. There’s also something very beautiful about its bloody history being full of people seeking the Wand to use it on others, but Harry seeks the Wand to die to it to save others. Theme work at its finest.

  He does cast Crucitas Curse successfully on Carrow in Ravenclaw&apos;s common room in DH though.

  This topic always makes me think about what would happen if Harry had a better occlumency teacher. Snape does say it is somewhat of a similar skill to throwing off the imperious curse.
