  The Xbox 360 controller also refuses to die in a different way: Since the component of Windows that developers can use to add controller support (Xinput) works for all Xbox controllers, both first and third party, pretty much any modern game coming out on PC <b>still</b> supports it. The 360 dongle also works out of the box on Windows 7 onwards and pretty much any Linux distro

  This is rather random, but the PS1 Dual Analog controller actually does have rumble... in Japan. They took out the rumble motor when bringing it to the west for some reason. The &quot;SCPH-1150&quot; that came out in Japan has vibration with one motor, while the &quot;SCPH-1180&quot; that came out internationally doesn&apos;t.<br><br>This is why the DualShock is called DualShock, because compared to the previous analog controller, it actually has two rumble motors, one on each side, hence the &quot;shock&quot;.

  So, Sony <b>did</b> try to iterate after the DualShock2, but the original PS3 &quot;Boomerang&quot; controller was widely panned upon reveal because of its roundness, causing Sony to scrap the design outright and revert to the DualShock format for DualShock3 and SIXAXIS

  The Wavebird is so special and useful due to the pure fact I can control as many gamecube games that i want with one wavebird controller as long as I have a ton of the same dongles on the same number setting
