"It does suck how so many people repeat the same traumas they have over and over again"
Man even for me that hits really hard. I've never actually realised that.

I'm just realizing that Alan wasn't kidding back in Animation vs. League of Legends when he said that Purple had a rough childhood...

I love how this episode went through different song styles for each segment. Started off with something childlike to introduce Green to how this realm works, then there's the sort of psychedelic synth, followed by showtunes, and then the beatboxing llamas was just hilarious. But I could never have predicted an actual opera as the final act, complete with all of the emotional weight that implies. This is easily one of my favorite episodes

6:44 I like the idea that the Mom is actually the blue one and the Dad is the pink one. Should be canon lol

Can these even be called AVM shorts at this point? They're approaching full TV-length episodic storytelling territory.

I don’t think it can be overstated how much of an emotional masterpiece this episode is. The use of different styles of music to represent different characters is so inspired. And the transition from the loud, distinctive styles of the different mobs to the single clarinet and violin to represent Green and Purple—masterful. And then, Purple’s backstory. The violin, the percussion, the use of clarinet when Green shows up again—an entire video could be spent analyzing this one scene. This is something incredibly emotionally mature, and it’s beautiful .

I like how at 6:41 Alan laughs at the fact DJ calls the navy blue stickfigure "mom"

Like yeah moms can be mean and badass too lol

Either that or the clear color stereotype on who the "male" and "female" would be in this sense
