  The most unintentional thing about Sage and Belle&apos;s designs is that Belle looks like an anthropomorphic animal, while Sage looks like a human. I know it&apos;s weird, but the fact that Belle was created from scratch and is also a super-intelligent AI, yet Eggman dislikes her purely because of her design and personality, is unintentionally funny. You know what&apos;s even more unintentionally ironic? Dr. Starline and Agent Stone also have parallels, but ironically, the situation where Eggman prefers humans to anthropomorphic animals is repeated.

  This shows real character development from Eggman. He could&apos;ve just built another Metal Sonic, but instead Sega shows him being desperate to find him. Bonus points: he asked Belle for help &amp; shows genuine concern for Sage. And he still keeps Orbot &amp; Cubot around even though he has Metal Sonic &amp; Sage.

  Notice Eggman&apos;s creations become more and more human as time progresses. <br>Metal Sonic: His goal to destroy his Rival and his ambition to dominate the world. <br>Belle: His transition to something more of a middle ground. Manipulative but its the platform to his shift.<br>Sage: Reflects more of his yearning for family. &nbsp;Still a villain but now has more empathy than his previous creations .

  <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1hXC2Ednah0&amp;t=337">5:37</a> I love that Orbot and Cubot call Sage little Sis and she didn’t make any attempt to correct them she only asked for personal space which makes me think that she’s not against them calling her that which think is sweet and cute

  Metal Sonic and Sage are possibly the only inventions that Eggman doesn’t want to lose because<br><br>1 The fact that Eggman is so desperate to find Metal Sonic<br><br>2 Instead of just building another Metal Sonic he’s trying to find him showing that he doesn’t want to replace him<br><br>3 Telling Sage that if things get too dangerous to retreat to safety immediately

  The relationship between Sage and Belle is fascinating. While Belle is technically eggtech, she wasnt <b>really</b> made by Eggman. this kinda gives her more of a &apos;cousin&apos; vibe than a sister. and it kinda looks like Sage is enjoying ribbing her cousin a little bit since all she gets from Orbot and Cubot is adulation.

  I think some of the most interesting things about this family dynamic is that it&apos;s actually a little bit of generational trauma. Eggman himself was overlooked by his grandfather, who put all of his love and attention into Shadow and Maria, meaning that Belle is actually a lot closer to Eggman than she realizes...

  I wouldn&apos;t be surprised if at some point in the comics sage goes on some sort of quest to find all of her mechanical siblings.
