  One piece of misinformation can completely distort the image of a subject. In Bengal, some people do eat beef, but certainly not everyone. For Hindus, our religious beliefs teach us to regard the cow as sacred — we worship her as Gau Mata and therefore refrain from consuming beef. For Muslims, according to Islamic law, eating beef is permissible. Similarly, Christians are also allowed to consume beef as part of their dietary choice. In all these cases, the practices are guided by faith, tradition, and personal belief — and each deserves equal respect.
