  In the UK we used to say you were collecting things for your ‘bottom drawer’ when you saved things for your future marital home. Loved this video!

  I just lost my grandmother, and even when she was still around, I thought she looked a lot like you, even though she was much older. But the hairstyle and hair colour are just the same, and she too had a wonderful sense for whimsy, and she had such a kind voice, just like you. Like you, she just looked like a real lady, tall and confident and elegant. I miss her like crazy. Watching your videos helps a little at the moment, it gives me a little comfort. Thank you for sharing these videos with us.

  Just got engaged 2/14 and began wedding planning last week. So exciting to see this! I love how 50s silhouettes are still so classic to this day.

  My Nanny was married in 1949. Her sister made her dress. I have it stored away, somewhere. It&apos;s a simple, elegant satin design. This was her era.

  There was so much class and elegance in the fifties. My parents married in 1951. I have many picture that were taken prior and during the wedding. From my Mothers wedding dress, to the brides maids and even the flower girl. Was absolutely beautiful. I truly enjoyed this video Jeanie. Looking through your vintage catalog of mid century living. Really wonderful. Thank you for sharing! Always enjoy your calm and soothing voice. 😊
