The only bad thing about this video is that it came after earth, breaking the Avatar reincarnation cycle. Excellent work as always

Wowzers. I wonder who the smart, intelligent, handsome devil who was behind the editing of this video! Seriously though, the lack of artwork for the Plane of Water is down right sickening

Ahah! You remembered to mention the border region! 😁

I think it makes sense for the "lower regions" of the plane of water to be salt water, while the "middle regions" become brackish and then fresh before starting to get warmer and warmer, becoming scalding hot in the "upper regions", and then boiling hot as you approach the plane of Steam. As if the plane of Salt has a gravitational pull on the plane as a whole, even though it can hardly be felt. Saltwater is denser than freshwater, and hot water is less dense than cold water, after all!

I made an Aarakocra character based off a penguin and made the lore that a select few Aarakocra migrated from the plane of air and travelled through the frostfell into the sea of ice and evolved to a mostly aquatic lifestyle, trading flying speed for swimming speed and having a kind of tribal fishing village type feel. It’s so cool to see such a comprehensive explanation of the planes and I wish I had watched this before coming up with the idea so I could’ve made it more in line with the actual lore.

I have no complaints whatsoever. The information you provide is very accurate and easy to understand, and even the variations between editions are explained efficiently. Thanks for the video!

Great joke bout the salt!!!

Back when I was a kid and still learning about DnD from my dad and the video game adaptations of the franchise, one of my first ever characters was a Water Genasi fighter named Khamasin from the plane of water. Even though now I'm an adult, and my groups forever DM, I'm still really fond of the character and would love to play a plane hopping campaign with a character like Khamasin.

I have no intention of ever playing dungeons and dragons, but I love watching videos about the world like it’s real and I’m going there one day😂
