I consider the archer bros from Tellius to be spiritual successors to the Pegasisters. The fact that you have to actively choose for Oscar to get bows upon promotion to access triangle attack makes it feel like an easter egg for fans of the series.

"Can't be recruited by her sister, and only by her boyfriend Klein"

It actually makes sense since in the Elibe lore, the reason Ilian's are respected mercenaries is because they have a reputation of never betraying their employer. Klein is Thea's employer, which is why he can recruit her, but Shanna, despite being family, can't. In FE7 Fiora only joins you since her whole wing is dead and she can't complete her mission on her own, and has lost contact with her employer Pent, so siding with Eliwood/Hector is the best way to continue the mission. Florina being in your army is more of an added bonus to joining than the main reason she does, even if she is the recruiting character.

"seeing a protagonist in fire emblem face consequences for their actions is rarely seen"

Sigurd: And that's why I exist.

Barst Erasure.... (bord and cord have never been a duo, but are part of a trio with Barst)

I’d like to give a slight bit of credit to awakening for its subversion of the White Wing archetype, you get Sumia, an energetic Est-esque character, then you get Cordelia, a unit with a very similar character to Catria and then theres Phila, a character that is older than the other two and is more powerful, then Phila dies and you don’t get another Pegasus knight

Notice how most of these Archetypes are from the earlier games and most of them end on the GBA games. The ones that came to mind before watching was the Navarres, Camuses, and Pegasus Sisters. But now that you mention it I really like the Axe Bros archetype and I think a thing that could make them stand out is having them pair up (maybe like Awakening?) or have them do something similar to the Pegasus Sister’s Triangle attack. I mean they are literally dubbed as “Axe Bros” and Bros always look out for each other.

Marcia, Tanith, and Sigrun (kinda can be seen as whitewings) when all of them were original begnion royal army. Even their personalities really match too, sad they never became a real unit like other whitewings

Well the dynamic of an older pre promote training a younger growth unit isn't dead per se. Even if they aren't mages Shamir and Cyril hit similar character beats.

the Vanessa comment hurt because it's true, I never wanted to read her supports for years, now that I have, I do like her alright enough, but yeah.
Making Rodrigue playable in Three Hopes and giving him a few very nice supports was the best decision that game made, unironically one of my favorite characters from that.

Never noticed the Chegall archetype. Nice observation.

I find it very funny that Path of Radiance replaced the pegasus sisters archetype with three brothers who are all different classes, but can still all potentially wield the same weapon.

Also: PoR also has the mentor/apprentice archetype with Calill and Tormod. The only difference is that they don't know each other prior to the game's events, but become master-apprentice through their supports.

My favorite archetype is the Camus archetype. Enemy characters who really make you think they're recruitable but are ultimately not.
Camus and Berkut are the two that immediately come to mind, but having only played since Shadow Dragon I don't know of many earlier ones.
