Yes, there are some editing errors in this video. I probably should've checked those more closely. The main problem is that this video took nearly 3 hours to render, so I decided that getting this video out and just dealing with the slight cockups was worth it. Just know that it bothers me far more than it bothers you.

Forgot to mention it in a pinned comment, but the * on saves and holds for certain pitchers are because saves weren't tracked until 1974, and holds weren't tracked until 2005.

They most definitely have more, but I didn't feel like digging through thousands of games to confirm that. If you want to, be my guest.

Incredible job! I really hope NPB explodes in popularity among English speakers so your channel and work gets the recognition it deserves. Go Carp!

I can't help but imagine what a separate list of the best Japanese players, period, would look like. Basically the same methodology as this, but for players that played in MLB, they also get those points, maybe with a 1.1 or 1.2x multiplier to their score for MLB to account for the more punishing environment.

This was a titanic project and I'm having to watch this in installments, which is good stuff. Keep doing your thing, dude.

Suzuki and Ohanti were in the same draft? Wow.....Suzuki is a fucking cheat code. He is legit hitting bombs. He has been so much fun to watch as a Cubs fan.

Seiya Suzuki, my guy! Been loving his time in Chicago, but respect all the work he did at Hiroshima beforehand.

Finally found the time to devote the 3+ hours to watch this in one sitting, and I'm very glad I did. You did an absolutely sensational job of taking us through Japan's best, from the names we all know to many that I was previously unaware of. Thank you for your hard work and effort, I love learning about both baseball and Japanese history through your channel.

Small side note - as a British viewer, it always catches my eye to see the UK Sky Sports TV graphics being displayed on-screen on NPB games from that time period. I guess Japan's Sky-branded network had a deal allowing them to share the graphics.
