Hey everyone it was always my intention to combine these 3 videos and I actually forgot that I had done it. It's just been sat as an unpublished video for like a year. My bad, hit publish now.

Bringing up the child birth part for Australopithecus and their earlier forms has completely blown my mind. Bipedalism being kinda a flip of the coin of environmental/physiological pressures, yet creating a need to increase social cohesion to facilitate child birth. With more support from their communities, the selective pressure against larger skulls/brains must have decreased. As their skull/brains increased in size so did the need for supporting mothers and increased social cohesion. I imagine our unique intelligence emerged as a requirement to help deliver and eventually raise more vulnerable and dependant children in a more socially dependant society.

I just love the idea that humanity may have emerged as a result of our ancestors supporting mothers in their communities. We're all here because of childbirth, but we are who we are because of how small chimp-like animals cared for eachother during birth.

The line you said about us continuing to watch over Lucy millions of years later really was emotional. Millions of years and a whole host of societal and biological changes and we still watch over each other. Really fantastic work with all three of these!

Sir, it is precisely the humanity with which you speak of ancient humanity that makes me love your videos so much, especially when speaking of art, community, and the common interactions that link all of us from our sausage filled bellies to our ancestors' marrow stained fingers.

Please keep making these- they help connect us with ourselves, something our world desperately needs right now.

I'd like to take a minute and applaud Ettore Mazza's excellent art work in this video. It's not just the scene setting and anatomical accuracy. He captures the emotion of the moment too.

👏👏👏

Years ago, when I lived in a squatted office without heating, in winter I'd put up a tent in a room to make my bedding inside, to preserve precious heat, so the lean-tos in the caves are absolutely not far fetched. Great video, as always!

This is amazing. You know, Nandy may have been one of the most unfortunate of people. With each incident he may have thought, "Why me again!" Maybe he was known for always getting injured and had a reputation for being unlucky, one might say "a loser". And then, thousands of years later, he becomes one of the most important representatives of his time and community.

This was one of the best prehistory videos I've ever seen. A lot of information, some storytelling too, very well balanced... True masterpiece! Considering this is "just" a guy with some expertise and a lot of enthusiasm... Awesome! (I also loved the one about the oldest story / stories.)
