  I think there&apos;s a big piece of Bubsy&apos;s history that you&apos;re missing here if you want an complete picture of the question posed by the title. But I&apos;m not sure how much I can blame you, since it was DELISTED (I hate delistings): Bubsy Two-Fur.<br>Released on Steam during the Greenlight era, it was just the first two SNES ROMs in a emulator package for $5. This was the first time Bubsy had gotten an official release since 3D, and this is the first time that the name Retroism comes up.<br>Now, this is mainly conjecture (insert the jokes here), but it is highly believe that Two-Fur sold well. And some of that is based on ironic sales, since there were plenty of &nbsp;people that went &quot;$5 to have Bubsy in my Steam Library? That&apos;d be hilarious!&quot; And it actually had Mostly Positive reviews!<br>So from there, yeah, whatever company that even was or what became of them did go &quot;Bubsy can make us actual money, lets see if it can make more of it!&quot;<br><br>To be fair, you did talk about the prevailing theory of money, but I feel like its important to note that the decision to make The Woolies Strike Back did not come from absolutely nowhere. They had a legitimate reason to think a new Bubsy game would sell. And since Bubsy Paws on Fire happened, I feel like its safe to assume TWSB did indeed sell well. And since 4D happened... you know.<br><br>This isn&apos;t to disparage anyone who does like Bubsy, nor dismiss the obvious effort that 4D&apos;s developers put into it. But I do feel like the truth of the question is rather simple when you get right down to it: Bubsy keeps getting games because people keep buying them. Why do they buy them? Different question to explore (maybe the Bubsy fans really are that strong, seem pretty strong in these comments), but not one I feel like exploring to any real depth. This video kinda sorta does that anyway, I think?<br><br>Okay I probably have nothing else to say.   Bubsy is loved despite it all because we are Bubsy. We think we&apos;re better than we are, funnier than we are, more stylish than we are, and we&apos;re not. Bubsy is relatable to many players for this reason. We wish we were Mario or Sonic, but in our hearts we know we&apos;re just Bubsy, And that&apos;s ok. At least we&apos;re not Aero the Acrobat.

  Funny thing is, Bubsy 4D uses a lot of the infrasctructure of Demon Tides. It seems Bubsy has carved out a niche as the platformer a random studio will work on to keep the lights on. It may sound sad, but it&apos;s honestly one of the better gigs struggling game devs can get. Bubsy&apos;s an actual game series and one of the less predatory ones.
