  People need to understand that the French and Russian interpretations of this variation are COMPLETELY DIFFERENT. So if you like Sylvie dancing, good for you, you prefer the French interpretation. But you can't go comparing the French interpretation to the Russian interpretation. The styles are different, the way they count the music is different, and the choreography is different. Nonetheless, both of them are extremely beautiful, and both Svetlana and Sylvie are beautiful dancers beyond words.

  Guillem - Zakharova - WHO CARES. <br>Both amazing. You&apos;re either going to like one or the other and they both do certain roles better than each other. Just enjoy watching.

  I&apos;m not a great fan of Raymonda Ballet, but this Svetlana&apos;s variation is out of this world. Her expression, her end-posses, and her technique are overwhelming. Just perfect!!!!!!!

  I think Zhakarova is lovely, but what I feel she nails here is the absolute clarity of the folk-inspired arms and the feet where she goes from, eg, lots of bourrees to a perfect 5th right on the music. Her phrasing and stylishness are just glorious (and I&apos;ve seen this variation a lot---the musical cues are very difficult, so really have to praise the attentive conductor as well)

  Her stage presence is over the top,she owns it! I agree with comparing Prima&apos;s, a big no no! Svetlana is best I&apos;ve ever seen in my lifetime and I&apos;m turning 55 in June!

  She&apos;s a goddess. I&apos;ve seen many raymondas and i believe she&apos;s the most elegant. But, of course, it&apos;s my opinion. We can all think differently based on our own styles, you can&apos;t pretend all ballerinas dancing the same way, right? <br>Me and my mom cried while watching her perfomance!
