  Which Bardock do you prefer? I'd personally would like a mix of both that keep's the bandana!

  I don&apos;t have a problem with Bardock&apos;s character in Super, it&apos;s just the Goku&apos;s Origin retcon that bothers me the most.

  I honestly prefer Super&apos;s Bardock since there is more to his character. Fundementally, Z &amp; Super Bardock aren&apos;t that different. I also prefer Minus&apos; origin story for Goku. While Super Bardock&apos;s armor isn&apos;t bad I honestly prefer most of Z&apos;s armor since there was more variety yet I can see why in universe the armor is largely similar for all Saiyans. It&apos;s to have a more uniformed appearance

  I have no problem or issues with Bardock’s portrayal in DBS or DB:Minus. My only complaint is that the design for him is way too boring. The modern Saiyans look way more meek and soft than the way they were portrayed in the Saiyan saga and the during old Funimation era. The rough/sharper character designs, the wide variety of Saiyans armor types/looks, and the abrasive personalities we see from them made them stand out from other races and gave them all some interesting character. Even the background Saiyans look way more like “evil, conquering, warrior race” than the Saiyans we see in the background of the DBS:Broly intro. <br><br>I think that’s really most people’s problem with Bardock in DBS. I would be willing to bet that if the design and colors stayed the same as in the old special, no one would be complaining. <br><br>Bardock’s old design was just really cool, so I think it’s hard for fans of a 30 year old character to just accept a redesign and move on.

  Nah. Dragon Ball Minus ruined Bardock. And Super Broly brought him back by actually showing us it took from the Father Of Goku for his last stand, while taking what worked from Minus about Bardock and tossed away what didn&apos;t. Super saved him basically. But it will NEVER compare to the original special and it&apos;s Greek tragedy vibe.<br><br>His visions made him gain the hubris that he might be able to save the future, and it was his own downfall. Basically, Super brought back his last stand, which was good and saved him. But taking away the visions kinda detracts from that special vibe. It&apos;s even more personally tragic for a character to be given hope, only to have it dashed, and bittersweet to see in his own death the actual one who will avenge them.

  Modern saiyans are boring, even the filler saiyans on kamis lookout had more bite to them.
