  Incredibly helpful video! Thank you!🙏🏽 <br><br>I’m growing sweet potatoes 🍠 for the first time. I started by accident. I had some old sweet potatoes that I had bought from Natural Grocers. We hadn’t eaten them and they were all shriveled up and ugly. After looking at them for several months, the first week of July, I decided that I’d bury them in the garden beds thinking that they would decompose. About a week later, I was surprised to discover sweet potato vines growing! I was amazed!😮 I decided to cut some of the vines and plant them as slips. I kept them watered and then they took off! I snipped more vines and planted them as slips too. So far they look amazing! It’s really shocking. I water them every other day. 120 days from when I planted them would be November 6. I’m hoping for a good harvest. 🙏🏽🤞🏽 I can’t wait!

  I&apos;m laughing at myself for not finding this video about sweet potatoes! 😂 My granddaughter and I planted a whole sweet potato in an old plastic coffee tub. We didn&apos;t cover it, just buried it halfway in black kow and put the lid on it until it sprouted. We then planted the sprouted sweet potato in an organic potting mix, Dr. Earth&apos;s and black kow, inside of a 5 gallon grow bag. <br>I now know that the beautiful leaves are actually the slips that we are supposed to plant to get actual sweet potatoes. <br>This has been a trial and error 3rd year of attempting a container garden, I have been impatient, gotten rained out, fought the birds (fixed them with reflector tape!), and some bugs with imitation dragonflies. So, I and my granddaughter are very grateful for the information!! ♥ ♥
