  Maybe we should stop calling them the &apos;Elites&apos; as this is feeding into their cycle of thinking they are better than anyone who is not a billionaire.

  A couple years ago I did a thing where I stood in the foyer at the supermarket and gave people a leaflet of what the local food bank needed and then we had a trolley so people could give us stuff on the way out. Almost every person who gave were not fancy people with lots of money.. a good number said they&apos;d had a period of having to rely on food banks themselves. It just completely showed me that normal people being more equal is such a better world, people look after each other, and that the extremely wealthy frankly don&apos;t see the poor as human.. or surely they would have given more. More often, they gave nothing at all

  Also, once money loses its ability to define status, the wealthy want to display power as a representation of status. Nothing says power like being untouchable by authorities for committing the worst crimes imaginable

  If billionaires cannot be empathetic, then they have no wisdom. If they are without compassion or wisdom, then they should not have power. Billionaires are a true parasitic class that feeds off of the underpaid labor of the working class.

  What I really love about Barry’s ideas, is it it’s about the structure not the individual. We’ve been sold this lie that we’re all individuals survival of the fittest and all that, when really with social animals that need to work together need connection. This is the whole problem with how our societies and economies now work.
