I love how this man casually cured his lactose intolerance, and mentioned that in passing as if that's not absolutely incredible from a layman's perspective.

The fact that electrical circuits are used to simplify the explanation is wild to me. I’m used to seeing electrical components needing their own simplified explanations (usually comparing them to water circuits - pumps, valves, water towers, etc)… so seeing them as the simpler explanation of something else tickles my brain a certain way

Fascinating how both atomic gardening and gacha games:
- Completely rely on chance
- Have very few, very rare good items
- Are expensive and don't publish the odds
- Appeal to the nerdiest person you know

It's pretty crazy that all of these techniques exist, and yet "E. Coli that doesn't smell like poo" is not high up on the list of priorities for genetic engineers.

I hate the fear mongering associated with GMOs. Food production could be decades ahead of what it is now if not for public perception.

This is incredible. The fact that this type of content is available, for free, on the internet for anyone around the world to watch and learn is mind blowing. We truly live in an amazing time.

I'll say it now, a youtuber merch store selling DNA for gene editing was NOT on my 2025 bingo card 😲
