Telling your child to skip Christmas just because someone else is a "doctor" is blatant favoritism. That message shows a lack of confidence, not class. Witnessing your fiancée applying to your hospital quickly reversed the situation. Qualifications cannot justify disrespect.

I know that this is fiction but it says a lot about the US health system that apart from reducing infection rates, her list of accomplishments does not include anything that improves health outcomes for patients. It's all about the insurance company, improving the hospital's profit margins and personal wealth and power. Sad.
