Great campsite review, we would probably choose "loo over view" 🤣Wow, you're a brave man, Will, to film the putting up of the Cinch for the first time. Wouldn't like to try it in the wind, but it does look great quality, shame it doesn't have a sewn in groundseet. We have an Olpro Pod, much easier to put up and take down. Breakfast prices, fairly standard, given our experience across the country. 😍

Absolute comedy watching that tent pop out at you - but honestly, can't be bothered with tents! That's why we got a campervan!

Greendale Farm campsite at Whissendine is a little gem - small & perfectly formed and had a swimming pool when we last went. A pub within walking distance too!!
Thanks for the great videos.

Vicariously enjoyed your video. Cycled round Rutland Water many times (I was a mountain bike leader) and taken many groups to the Horse & Jockey. My wife's from Stamford and we're now about an hour away. Unfortunately our camper was nicked 3 years ago and we haven't replaced it, but this site looks fabulous. Thank you!

Shame about the weather but hey we need some rain!! Great try at putting up and taking down the Cinch, so quick and easy compared to a blow up awning!! We ordered ours at the NEC and just arrived for our last festival, but that’s what happens when you order the newer version!!!! 😊🚐🏴

That’s a really cool video. I am very local to Rutland water but we went and stayed there just after they opened in July after the Birdfair. I went there to test out my first ever Motorhome - a 1989 Fiat Ducato. I think this Site has probably spoiled me for anything else. It is really well thought out and the Service and the welcome was lovely.

We stayed on one of the hook ups which is controlled by an app which worked very efficiently and we were relatively near the facilities. We wandered down to the other areas where the views are absolutely stunning. One thing to notice that there are little paths that take you up through the campsite to the facilities from those other fields so you don’t necessarily have to go out onto the road to come back back up to the facilities.

I would recommend it to absolutely anybody and even though it’s only 4 1/2 miles by road and 1.5 miles as the crow flies, I’m definitely coming back.

In-laws live in Oakham so we are up that way quite a lot, was wondering why we haven’t stayed there but it’s not adult only so that’s probably why.
Eaten at the garden centre cafe but the service was so slow I had started chewing my fingers, food though was very nice when it arrived.
We normally stay at New lodge farm or Greendale farm camping when visiting Oakham and have a nice breakfast at the Barnsdale Garden Cafe.
Handy to have the pub and garden centre within walking distance.
Lovely views so will definitely give it a try, we are heading that way in a couple of weeks.
When the school holidays are over might try this as a midweek stay when others should be less kids around.
