I dedicate this song to the love of my life who passed away on March 24, 2025. Often she said, "I don't think I can carry on." She was in the late stages of lupus. So as Van says, "When you don't think you can carry on, just step right on up and ring a bell." We both loved that and many of Van's songs.. Oh and she also loved his "Into the Mystic." My love is now there, in a much higher and grander dimension. I play this song endlessly on loop as I think of sweet memories of Gail.

Van is the only singer who is touching me so deeply that I often have to cry while I am listening and I‘m meanwhile 73 years of age. Van is the best singer I‘ve ever heard in pop history!🙏👏🏼

Beautiful music.......I  have no words. Took me a long time before I started to listen to Van Morrison music. Now that I am here it will never stop.

I am a 73 year old black man who has been a lifetime Van the man fan since 1969! Bought Saint Dominic's Preview in my last year of high school. Way up and down the line....

It never never ever gets old ! It’s 1969 again. Van Morrison is an astral gift from the Divine. I’m still listening 2025 and beyond.

Es gibt nicht viele Songs, bei denen mir Tränen in die Augen kommen. Dieser steht ganz oben! Danke Van

This song takes me back to remember my dear friend Cynthea who was a ballerina. Three years ago she voluntarily checked out of this world after a 6 year battle with PTSD following a horrific assault where a crazy guy left her alone after attempting rape and murder. She literally saved her own life that night in LA and did everything she could to pull herself together. But eventually she just ran out of will to keep going. I always think of her when I hear Van singing this song. The most courageous woman I’ve ever known.

Words fail to describe this song's beauty.  Arrangement is beyond exquisite.  Xylophone, horns, percussion, guitar, keyboard, vocals; blended perfectly.  A tour de force.  Thank you, Van and band for this soulful masterpiece. Bravo, bravo.

I bought Astral Weeks with my very first wage packet in the sixties. I was mesmerised and still am. I thought he was unearthly, an angel. <br>I think somehow he is capable of transcending to another more unearthly paradise.
