  To say Kstates defense has been dominant is an understatement. Yeah they havent played any powerhouse programs, but theyve relinquished 95 total passing yards in two games, and that was with 2-3 strinfers playing the entire second half against Nicholls. They gave up only 65ish to Washington State who had 142 passing against Washington. <br><br>KStates defense has been absolutely relentless so far. I dont expect them to get truly tested until they go to Cincinnati in week 4, but who knows. Tulane might come in and pull an Oklahoma State this weekend.

  Great summary, Pete. This conference is deep, AND maybe this year we have 2 teams making the CFP which should have happened last year. My Mountaineers better solve their secondary and backer play this week or Saturday is going to be brutal. Every year we think we’ve solved their pass defense only to see the that it’s the same ole poop as before. This is year two of the Zach Alley defense and I’m not seeing vast imp. Yes, the D-Line play is much better but we can’t cover. Throw in a scrambling QB and we look completely confused. I’m seeking Divine Intervention to help us this week. And would appreciate you and my fellow Big 12 brothers and sisters to say a little prayer 🙏 for us as well. Congrats to OK State, FANTASTIC WIN. Loved every minute of it. This week it’s hopefully our turn to send Virginia home disappointed. Let’s Go Mountaineers and Big 12.

  Having watched Oregon back-to-back weeks, they are completely overrated—they look more like a Big Ten bottom feeder right now. That said, you’re giving Oklahoma State way too much credit. I’ve only got them moving up to 11th from 16th. That Tulsa loss was real bad and they still should be penalized for that. How can you not?

  Two weeks in, the Utes have put the most convincing football on tape in the entire Big 12. Utah didn&apos;t just beat an SEC team—they dismantled Arkansas 43–10 by dominating both lines of scrimmage, shutting down the run, and dictating every snap. That isn&apos;t preseason hype; that is proven, game-tested muscle.<br>BYU has the poll ranking, and Texas Tech has last year’s trophy. Fair enough.<br>But power rankings aren&apos;t a museum of past achievements or a beauty contest for national voters. They&apos;re about who looks like the most complete, physically imposing team on the field right now.<br>Utah has proven it can completely suffocate quality opponents and score at will. On a neutral field today, the Utes belong firmly in the top two of the Big 12—ahead of both the Cougars and the Red Raiders.<br>Put some respect on Utah&apos;s name. They aren&apos;t chasing the standard in this conference; they&apos;re setting it.

  That Tulsa win was a surprise. &nbsp;It wasn&apos;t Big 12. &nbsp;But it has to be in the rear view for OK State.
