  Great update!<br>Some notes from a bike mechanic:<br>&gt; It&apos;s absolutely crucial that the driveshaft is out of a stronger material than aluminium. Cranks are generally made out of aluminium, and you want your crank to break, <b>not</b> the driveshaft. Even if it&apos;s an open source project! So I&apos;m happy to see you went with steel instead :)<br>&gt; I think it is important you choose an appropriate engine for this build. Like others have pointed out: Brushless is the way to go. And I would opt for a flatter, more compact design, so it is easier to house under the frame.<br>&gt; I don&apos;t know how you can make the bearing work. Bafang engines use a ratchet system, similar to the body of a cassette. Seems reliable enough, maybe consider something like that. Rollerbrakes and some internal hubs (Elevandi) also use the technique used in the bearing. Perhaps it is needed to design this yourself and incorporate it in your design.<br>&gt; If at some point you could incorporate a torque sensor, that&apos;d be great. Mid engines really thrive on that.<br>Thanks for sharing!

  Nice project sir! I think you should really go with at least something like 7070 110kv brushless and a better torque friendly gear ratio.<br>My Italian channel is all about stuff like that if you want to take a look 😊😊<br>Can&apos;t wait to see v2!
