Fun Fact: Christian was supposed to make his return at the Rumble much earlier by costing Jeff the title and revealing himself to be the one responsible for Jeff’s pyro going badly. Sad thing is WWE changed plans when the original plan was leaked online and had Matt be the culprit for the sake of unpredictability.

The entire 2000's in general was the golden age of the Rumble match itself. 2001-2010 was consistently a great rumble match.

I attended this rumble in Detroit and when Jeff got smacked with that chair from Matt my childhood was crushed

Looking back on it. Punting people in the head was a Tier 1, GRADE A insane move to have in a pro wrestling move set💀😭😭

Orton winning the Rumble made sense. But you know what DIDN'T make sense? Having HHH beat him at Mania 25. Not to mention that dumb "If Triple H gets counted-out or disqualified, he loses the title" stipulation. They should've just made it a No Holds Barred Match, WITH ORTON WINNING.
