So "goldfish" is basically "would you kindly?"

Honestly the idea that the father would rope in his own daughter to seduce her brother, and then rope him into death-trap gauntlet to rescue her, just to get the movie he thinks will make everyone admire him again is what makes it for me. It's just so insanely depraved, narcissism beyond words, an idea so utterly deranged and carried out by everyone to the letter, with Vincent as the poor eternal victim. It's perfect.

I was devastated for Vincent...the poor guy can't catch a break, everything is a putrid lie and can't escape his demented family

I was so happy for him, this love story was so pure and wholesome, and then...

I wouldn't blame Vincent if he crashed out after this and went on a rampage that would make the Doom Slayer go "dude, chill"

The mom calls Dorothy a whore which leads me to believe that Twister may have originally tried to recreate the movie with his own daughter, and it drove her mad. That would explain why the mom hates her so much and why Twister casted her aside (Dorothy can’t act anymore).

She said her brother had schizophrenia so she was familiar with his struggles with Dorothy. ...He's her brother. 100% Dad tried to mold Dorothy into being a star (whether with him or Vincent doesn't matter) and failed, broke Vincent in a workable way with the Goldfish thing, and apparently got it 'right' with Charlotte?

I actually have a theory that Vincent wasnt as terrible at Medical Shcool as he thought he was, if his Uncle had academic ties he could of potentially masterminded the system to fail Vincent no matter how well he did. I mean, look at that note on his failed exam. That "have you considered acting?" comment... why would his proffesor or whoever graded that test put that there unless they KNEW ABOUT and AGREED with Vincent's families obession with what his "true calling was".

I got mentally flashbanged by the ending. If the devs make a sequel, I hope they arrange the story so that Vincent will escape with his sanity and self-worth intact, perhaps even reinforced by his actions, and that his critical choices have some degree of what you and I see as honorable.

I suppose more than a loop and if we go with the idea that "Vincent jr" is being memory wiped constantly we could assume 1st playthrough is "take 1" and every subsequent play is another "take" like different angles and actions in order to get enough good footage for the final film while the resort is used for the actors and extras. Personally I think the twist needed just a bit more setup and some things are way too vague like "the beast" but it still worked as a shock value story, hopefully the devs polish their writing in whatever they work next.

Half way through the game, i thought it was going to be a Spec Ops: The Line twist with Mr. Twister being a split personality which was the cause of his short term memory loss. I was wrong, it was worse.

Did they maybe test it on the other sister first and it messed her mind up completely?
So he is the second try?
