  What makes this documentary stand out is how it strips away the myth and shows Göring not as a “monster,” but as a deeply corrupt, addicted man whose vanity destroyed him.

  This very insightful video highlights how fundamentally flawed Goring was as were all of the other Nazi leaders. It is quite remarkable that the Nazis were in power for 12 years given the glaring deficiencies of the leaders of the movement.

  You forgot that he worked in Sweden as a air post pilot. And that he was hospitalized for mental illness.

  Göring had cyanide all the time I &nbsp;belive &nbsp;. He had several capsules and also to make sure &nbsp;they found one - making them belive they captured he’s cyanide ! &nbsp;It could also be that Göring manipulated the guard with gifts and talking him into give him a capsule ? Only &nbsp;Göring (and maybe guard) &nbsp;knew ! &nbsp; But I think he had several capsules all the time during the trials. Making he’s final hour on he’s own terms . 🤷🏼

  At least one important detail seems to be missing: In 1945 Hitler stripped Göring from all of his offices after Göring had written to him from Bavaria that he would assume command since Hitler seemed to be stuck in Berlin, surrounded and unable to act.<br>Also it is worth mentioning that his popularity both with Hitler and with the people declined considerably with the Allies bombing German cities. Göring had promised this would never happen, otherwise they should call him &quot;Meier&quot;.
