  There is a Re-chargeable battery in the car alarm siren up under the front wheel arch. They go bad and then pull about a 200 drain I had to change mine out mine is a clk from 2005.

  The alternator charges “on demand” and it does not directly jump to 14 nor does it remain to 14 during the time the engine runs

  <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0bnIXdj5DfI&amp;t=1085">18:05</a> &nbsp;- &nbsp; IF it doesn&apos;t permantly fix, Best thing that&apos;s worked for me on mildew/smelly cars is to remove the cabin air filter and run a steam cleaner into the system. Cycle through all the vents, make sure the fan is on high, ensure the steam is making it all the way to the end/out of the vents. &nbsp;Afterwards, full heat and AC at the same time to dry everything out. Again, cycle through all the vents.

  In my Merc it kept going dead and found out the power seat relay goes bad and it just drains the battery. Each morning I would need to jump it. The relay in mine was under each seat. I pulled the driver&apos;s seat relay, after I set it to my comfort, and didn&apos;t have the problem again. I was young and poor so I never got a new relay.
