Regarding Travolta and dancing, everyone mentions Grease, but he's really famous for Saturday Night Fever... dancing was the theme of that whole movie.

The goal of the movie was to take traditional pulp fiction tropes--boxer who doesn't take a dive, gangster who hooks up with the bosses wife, getting rid of a dead body--and then subvert them with completely unorthodox, postmodern endings. It's pretty impossible to overstate just how big this movie was when it came out; it was the coolest movie on Earth for at least 2 years (until SCREAM came out at least).

It's funny you realize the nonsequential nature of the movie right after watching Butch ride away on the motorcycle which is actually the end of the movie in the timeline

Each time he is in the bathroom something bad happens. The OD, Butch getting the gun, the robbery.

Mia snorted the heroin thinking it was cocaine, that´s the final trigger to had the overdose (heroin can be snorted as well, but the most common way it´s like Vincent did, using a needle. Also Mia was quite drugged in that moment. Besides, she was confused ´cause heroin use to be put in balloons, however Lance didn´t have and put it in a baggie work (most used for cocaine). And Vincent goes a lot to the bath, due to he´s an heroin addict, and that provokes you, sometimes, constipation. Even the shot to Marvin´s face, it´s due to heroin, that also provokes you spasms (in this case pulling the trigger)

In my estimation, this film is a masterpiece. The writing, acting, directing all top tier. One of my top ten films of all time. So twisted, so juicy.

Pumpkin and Honey Bunny might have chosen the best day to rob the diner, actually. Not only did they make off with the loot and not get killed in the process, but maybe, just maybe, Jules's conversation had an impact and changed the trajectory of their lives.
