  Definitely switch him from live prey to frozen thawed. Much safer for the snake...

  You need a bigger tank, feed frozen thawed rats (rats rather than mice), thermostat for the heat mat (a heat lamp might be better) and make sure the sticks and leaves and stuff are sanitised since they could carry diseases

  Reminder to always do your research, find the materials you need for care and make sure you’re in a good financial state before buying a pet because, they’re just like kids.

  You can feed snakes Frozen/thawed mice, which is safer for the snake, as sometimes live prey fights back.<br>Als o as Kixr_a said UVB lamp to prevent Metabolic bone disease, which in extreme cases can kink the snake so badly it can&apos;t physically eat.

  Good job giving him a new home!! I think you should definitely add a heat lamp and a UVB lamp as they&apos;ll help with his metabolism. Also speaking from experience, the opening on those plastic hides can actually hurt the snake (especially since they&apos;ve been cute unevenly and are not smooth), I had a snake that got scratched pretty badly going in one of those hides after shedding. Keep up the good work mate!!
