  As I understand it, part of the plot of Buddy as a horror movie is ABOUT parents not paying attention to what media kids consume. So life imitates art here.<br><br>But you can’t deny that this has been an accidentally great marketing campaign for the film. Buddy absolutely would have passed under the radar otherwise.

  The South Park movie was calling out this mess way back in 1999. The fact that this problem has only increased should be concerning. Parents talk all the time about how they want their kids to grow up in a safe, non-threatening environment but then don&apos;t think twice about taking their kids to pretty much anything just because there&apos;s cute creatures on the poster. They weren&apos;t even tipped off at the creepy static or the red words over the black background that you usually find on horror movie posters. I wonder how many more times something like this ought to happen before parents learn that maybe not everything that looks remotely appropriate for kids is. My guess is never.
