  “Vatican 2 opened the doors of the church…and the people left” <br><br>Im a Roman Catholic convert to Orthodoxy. My family was Sicilian Catholics and My grandma used to tell me that my great-grandma would write the pope every week and demand the Mass be changed back to Latin. All of my family subsequently fell away from Catholicism. <br><br>I don’t think non-Catholics realize the spiritual devastation that Vatican 2 created. <br><br>I was never a TradCat but just a conservative Novus Ordo Catholic. But the cognitive dissonance eventually became too much. <br><br>Glory to God I’ve been Orthodox for 10 years now

  I use to go to a roman catholic church and then went to a latin mass. I couldn&apos;t believe how far it had changed. That was the start on how I learned and ended up to Holy Orthodoxy

  Thank you Father Tom for this summary. &nbsp;I have never been drawn to Roman Catholicism but the dissolution of Catholicism really breaks my heart. &nbsp;Your efforts to help us experience the existential horror of what modernism has done was very effective. &nbsp;I first felt this sorrow watching the standard intro to the “Pre Councilliar &nbsp;Radio” YouTube channel.

  I&apos;m a Roman Catholic and found this video helpful as well accurate to my own sorta cognitive dissonance. I came back to Catholicism about 3 years ago hoping for some clarity and it didn&apos;t take long before I was exposed to the mess in Catholicism. Pretty much every serious Catholic friend I have expresses these same frustrations. I&apos;ve been doing a fair amount of research into Orthodoxy and it&apos;s been like being raised by a divorced parent and never really knowing the other parent and learning about Orthodoxy is like being reunited with that estranged parent and hearing their side of the divorce. <br><br>I really appreciated the history stuff on Orthodox reforms because that&apos;s the kinda stuff that could come back to bite me later if I converted and learned about later. <br><br>These are definitely trying times for any honest and faithful Catholic...we need your prayers.

  I’m a former RC now Orthodox. One is not just tolerated but encouraged and the other is treated with hostility and contempt. Sad. But the problem for the traditionalists which iteration of “tradition” does one follow?

  ….And we have Orthodox people who fall over themselves to unify with the RCC. As a former RC I think it’s utterly insane suicidal even.. If you want the destruction of Orthodoxy re-unify on the institutional level. The more difficult way is to, by example of individual holiness, guide the RC’s home one by one.
